The following instructions take the "main unit + 20W diode galvo module + galvo source" kit as an example.
Prepare before calibration
Before calibration, ensure that you've connected xTool X1 with xTool software.
Step 1: Watch the introduction video

Step 2: Install all laser modules and click "All installed"
- The 55W CO2 laser module is pre-installed.
- If you've bought the 20W diode galvo module, install it according to xTool X1 20W Diode Galvo Module User Guide.
- If you've bought the galvo source, install it according to xTool X1 Galvo Source User Guide.

Step 3: Confirm the light source according to the laser modules you've installed and click "Confirm"

Step 4: Confirm whether the field lens installed is correct and click "installed"
Note: For more information about field lens, visit Install and Recognize the Field Lens.

Step 5: Prepare accessories for calibration and click "Done"
Accessories mentioned are included in the package of xTool X1.

Step 6: Click "Preparation done, start calibration"
Note: The calibration fixture/laser calibration tool is included in the galvo source package. The galvo source needs to be purchased separately.

Step 7: Clear the baseplate of xTool X1 and click "Cleared"

Step 8: Close the lid of xTool X1 and click "Closed"

Step 9: Click "Next"

Start basic calibration
The three calibration tasks in this category are performed automatically and take about 5 minutes.
Step 1: Start vibration suppression calibration
Note: As this calibration may cause relatively intense vibration of your xTool X1, do not place any items on or besides the device.

Step 2: Start dot laser full-range calibration

Step 3: Start baseplate leveling

Step 4: Click Next to proceed to the next calibration task

Align CO2 optical path
Step 1: Watch the introduction video

Step 2: Prepare the masking tape and click "Done" and "Next"
Note: The masking tape is included in the xTool X1 package.

Step 3: Adjust the mirror
- Click Move to make the laser module travel to a proper position your can work with.

- Open the lid of xTool X1.
- Follow the video instructions to apply masking tape to the 55W CO2 laser module properly and click Applied.

Note:
- Do not leave any gap between the tape if you want apply two.
- Make sure the tape covers the round hole fully.
- The round hole position of the 55W CO2 laser module is shown in the following image.

- Close the lid of xTool X1.
- Click Done to fire the laser.

- Open the lid of xTool X1 to check the burn mark.
- Check the burn mark on the tape.
- If the burn mark is at the center of the round hole, click Centered.
- If the burn mark isn't at the center of the round hole, click Not centered.

- (Only when the burn mark is not centered)
- Slightly turn the knobs on the right side of the device to adjust the light path.
- Remove the previous tape and apply a new one.
- Close the lid and fire the laser again.
- Open the lid to check if the burn mark is centered.
- If yes, click Centered and move on to the next step.
- If not, repeat these four steps until the burn mark is centered.

- Remove the masking tape covering the round hole and click Masking tape removed in xTool software. Then, click Next.
