What versions of Windows does XCS software support?

7 ,8 , 10, Older???

Why do I ask? I would like to control 2 different P2 machines from the same computer.

XCS Software will only load 1 instance at a time.

But, what if I load VirtualBox and create a Windows 10 VM. Will that work?

Hardware requirements are not a problem for my computer. Getting software licenses for older Windows version are easy to get.

Anyone tried this?

Update 9/4/2023:

I got this working with Hyper-V. Since Hyper-V is “free” with all versions of Windows … why not.

I pulled a Windows 10 Pro ISO from Microsoft and installed it as a VM. 

Hardest part was installing XCS in the VM. I am not sure if it was because I used the minimum hardware settings or just running the VM on a SATA spinning drive. It seemed to reboot or log me out several times … but the install always continued.

If you have enough hardware resources. You can run multiple copies of XCS on the same machine.
