We've been experimenting with the cutting feature of our M1 Ultra since we received it (I also wanted to do print & cut, but… er… still waiting for that to be implemented).
We have the M1 with the air assist, purrifier, and we’ve set up the air purifier output outside of the workshop. We start the air purifier manually before we begin cutting, and the filter at the back of the M1 is correctly installed.
What concerns me is that the workshop still smells like ashes when we start the laser, even before we open the machine at the end.
Is this normal? Could we be doing something wrong?
I don’t really mind the smell of burnt wood, but I’m hesitant to cut other, more toxic materials because of this.
