Issue Description

When this issue happens, you'll see that, despite being tightened, the lens mount cannot be adjusted to the ideal angle as illustrated in the picture below.

Why It Happens

Cause: The screw thread is faulty. Given the inherent error of the screw threading process, it is natural that, during actual installation, the lens mount can deviate between a range of ±30° without affecting machine performance.

How to Fix It

#1 Tighten with another lens mount

  • As 1 set of the Air Assist includes 2 lens mounts (see the picture below), you may use an alternative lens mount for tightening.

#2 Install two sealing rings

  1. Retrieve the spare sealing ring (1 set of the Air Assist includes 2 sealing rings).
  2. Install two sealing rings on the lens before attaching the lens mount.

#3 Wrap some layers of Teflon tape

  • Wrap the thread with some layers of Teflon tape before installation.
