Step 2: Process materials with xTool Electrostatic Mat
A. Connect to xTool Creative Space (XCS)
Use a USB cable to connect your xTool M1 Ultra to your computer. Power on the M1 Ultra.
Open XCS on your computer. Click the + New Project button in the top-right corner.
On the right side of the project editing page, click Connect Device.
Note: If you have previously connected an xTool device in XCS, click the > Connect Device.
B. Select processing mode
xTool Electrostatic Mat is not compatible with laser processing. Please remove the mat before initiating any laser operations.
Supported Processing Modes:
Blade Cut
Foil Transfer Tip
Hot Foil Pen
Pen Drawing
Inkjet Printing
After selecting a supported processing mode, switch the setting within XCS to Electrostatic Mat.
C. Calibrate your Electrostatic Mat before processing
First-Time Calibration: When the electrostatic mat is connected to XCS for the first time, a pop-up window will prompt you for calibration. Click Start to begin the calibration process.
Follow the On-Screen Instructions: Click Got It and then carefully read the instructions.
Prepare Calibration Items: Ready all items listed on the window and click Next.
Paper Placement: Place A4 paper as instructed on the electrostatic mat. Activate electrostatic adsorption and click Process after confirmation.
Identify Lightest Line: In the processed area of the A4 paper, find the lightest line. Enter the row and column numbers of the lightest line in the appropriate fields and click Next.
🎉 Congrats: Calibration is complete.
📌 Note: To manually initiate calibration, navigate to Device Setting > Calibration > Electrostatic Mat and click Start Up.
D. Place the material
Place the material to be processed on the electrostatic protection sheet.
⚠️ Important: For an uneven surface, flatten the material with your hands. If the edges are warped, use stickers to secure them after flattening.
Material Compatibility: If most areas of the material cannot be adsorbed by the electrostatic mat, the electrostatic mat may not be suitable for securing that material.
Activate Adsorption: Click the button on the electrostatic mat to secure the material. The button will light up green when powered on.
📌 Note: Ensure that the M1 Ultra is powered on.
Auto Control: When [Auto control] in [Device settings] > [Accessories info] is enabled, electrostatic adsorption will be automatically disabled after processing.
Step 3: Remove your xTool Electrostatic Mat
A. Disconnect
Unplug the connection cable first, and then unscrew the thumb screws securing the baseplate.
B. Remove safely
Before removing the electrostatic mat, remove any processing module that is in the multi-function holder. This prevents damage to the mat or your M1 Ultra.
Carefully take out your Electrostatic Mat.
