Preparation

Select a cutting mat - It is recommended that you select the blue cutting mat. Please ensure the cutting mat is clean and has no residue. (Otherwise, the uneven mat may cause a bad result.)
Place the heat transfer film - Put the smooth side of the heat transfer film (transparent protective film) facing down and place it on the blue cutting mat. Please ensure the film is flat and has no blister.
Check the blade - It is recommended that you use the fine-point blade to process the film. Please ensure the blade is sharp enough to get a clean and even cutting edge.

Design an object and set up

Select processing mode and set up parameters - Select Blade cut in XCS and select the material (such as Heat Transfer Vinyl). Usually, recommended parameters are provided in XCS, but you can also adjust them manually.
Mirror an object - After designing an object, please ensure to mirror (reverse) the object on the canvas before processing the film. That's because the film is transferred to the material from the backside.

Start processing

Framing - Before starting the process, you can double-check the processing area by framing to confirm whether it meets your expectations.
Start processing - Click Start in XCS to start processing. Do not open the lid during processing. You can check the processing status through the lid to ensure safety.

Remove excess materials

When the processing is completed, remove the film from the cutting mat and use a tool (such as a crochet hook) to peel off excess materials. Then you can get the part that you want.

Apply heat pressing

Preheat the heat-pressing device - Preheat the device or iron to the processing temperature according to the materials.
Place the film - Place the film with a pattern on a material and ensure the position is correct.
Apply heat pressing - Heat press the material with a heat-pressing device or iron. It usually requires a certain temperature, pressure, and time.
Cool down and remove the film - Wait for the material to cool down, then gently peel off the film.
