MOPA lasers allow independent adjustment of pulse width and pulse frequency, making them more suitable for fine-detail processing. They also deliver superior color engraving results on metal surfaces.

2.What is the adjustable range for pulse width and frequency in MOPA lasers?

MOPA lasers offer adjustable pulse widths from 2 to 500 ns (with selectable presets) and frequencies ranging from 30 kHz to 4000 kHz.

3.Can F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single) use a conveyor for cutting?

No. If the material is cut through, the laser will hit the conveyor itself, potentially damaging it.

4.Can F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single) perform batch relief engraving using a conveyor?

No. The software does not support this feature, and prolonged engraving causes heat build-up that may damage the conveyor.

5.Can relief engraving on F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single) be used on curved surfaces?

No. Relief engraving currently supports only flat surfaces.

6.Can F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single) be fitted with xTool Air-Compress Assist？

No. There is no reserved port for Air-Compress Assist.

7.Are desktop smoke purifiers compatible with F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single)?

Desktop smoke purifiers can be used if you connect the smoke exhaust pipe with a proper flange adapter. However, desktop purifiers are not compatible with the united mode of F2 Ultra/F2 Ultra (Single). Therefore, we recommend using xTool SafetyPro™AP2 with F2 Ultra/F2 Ultra (Single).

8.Can the conveyor be used with curved-surface engraving mode on F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single)?

No. The software does not support this feature.

9.Is the base of F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single) replaceable?

No. The base is integrated and cannot be replaced.

10.Can relief processing on F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single) achieve a 1-2 mm carving depth? What is the minimum raised height?

Yes. Official recommended materials support 1-2 mm depth. However, depth cannot be individually set (e.g. you can’t only set 1 mm). There's no fixed minimum height; depth depends on the height map, material properties, and parameters.

11.Can F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single) modify and import new G-code files via xTool software?

No. F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single) does not support modifying or importing new Gcode files through xTool software.

12.Is fire safety set compatible with F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single)?

Yes. Only the simple version is supported.

13. How long will F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single) enter sleep mode when it is not used? Can sleep duration be adjusted?

The machine will enter sleep mode after 10 minutes of inactivity. You can enable or disable this feature in device settings.

14.Can the camera on F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single) be replaced or have its angle adjusted?

No. The camera cannot be replaced, and its angle cannot be adjusted.

15.What file type is needed for offline processing? How do I export it?

For offline processing, .xf file is needed. The way to export .xf files from xTool software is Settings → Device Settings → Export .xf → Save.

16.What are the advantages of connecting the F2 Ultra/F2 Ultra (Single) to a computer via USB compared to WiFi?

There is no significant difference between USB connection and WiFi connection, but if the WiFi connection is unstable, issues such as unstable file transfers may occur.

17.Which Wi‑Fi bands are supported?

Both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz are supported.

18.Does F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single) support power‑off resume?

Yes. It is supported in flat surface and relief engraving modes only.

19.Can F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single) do color relief engraving?

No. You can only choose either color engraving or relief engraving, not both simultaneously.

20.What materials are suitable for color engraving?

Stainless steel, titanium, copper, and other metals. You may also experiment with other materials using a matrix test.

21.How is color engraving achieved on the F2 Ultra/F2 Ultra (Single)?

Laser-induced heat creates oxide films on metal surfaces. Different oxide thicknesses produce various colors due to light interference.

22.Is LightBurn compatible with F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single)?

No. To ensure the security of user data transmission, F2 Ultra/F2 Ultra (Single) is no longer compatible with Lightburn, as the previous access protocols were all open protocols.

23.What is the maximum material thickness that F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single) can engrave?

Up to 150 mm thickness.

24.What is the maximum engraving speed?

25.Can the conveyor for F1 Ultra be used on F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single)?

Yes. However, we recommend that you contact our after-sales to purchase the conveyor mounting block assembly for the F2 Ultra/F2 Ultra (Single).

26. Can the exhaust fan be rinsed with water?

No. You can use a soft brush for cleaning. we have a “No Water!” label present on the fan.

27.Can rotary attachment and conveyor be used simultaneously?

No. Only one can be used at a time.

28.Why a dongle is no longer required when connect F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single) to AP2 and IF2?

Because the dongle module is integrated into the mainboard.

29.What accessories are supported by F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single)?

Rotary Attachment, Auto Streamline™ Conveyor, Footswitch, SafetyPro™ module, IF2 inline fan, and AP2 purifier.

30.Can F2 Ultra / F2 Ultra (Single) engrave transparent glass or acrylic?

Yes, but auxiliary methods like applying black paint or art scratch paper are needed to absorb the laser.

31.How thick can the F2 Ultra/F2 Ultra (Single) cut?

32.Can the F2 Ultra/F2 Ultra (Single) store files for offline processing (without connecting to the xTool software)? How much storage memory does it have?

Yes. It includes 7 GB. If the memory is full, you can delete files on-screen to free space or expand via external USB drive.

33.Does F2 Ultra/F2 Ultra (Single) support mobile applications?

F2 Ultra/F2 Ultra (Single) is currently not supported on mobile devices. But you can use xTool Studio and Atomm software on computers.
