I upgraded xtool d1 pro with extension kit (40w) XCS is not recognizing the new larger working area.
When I added the 40w head I had to bring it in XCS first, do the updates , and then after it was good there , I had to delete are re add the device in lightburn to get it all to work
What do I need to to get XCS to see the new bigger area?
What do I need to do to get it set up in lightburn, just delete and read again?
Update: I changed XCS per the first answer below and the extension area is now showing in XCS. (Thanks Comp56!)
I updated the working area in Lightburn per this post:
but when I try to move to 430, 930 it hits the limitswitches around 430, 910, I'm assuming this is because of the 40w laser,
Also when I hit home, it goes halfway home, and I have to hit home again to get it to goto the actual home. as is listed in a comment on the thread linked above. I'm going to delete and read the xtool d1 pro in lightburn and see it that helps.
Update 2: deleted and re imported per this link
https://support.xtool.com/hc/en-us/articles/7317000221591-Use-LightBurn-to-Operate-xTool-D1-Pro
in light burn, and it reverted to the old working area, Is there a xTool-D1ProV3.lbdev for the extension kit and the 40w laser?
Do I just manually reduce the working area till it stops hitting the limit switch?
Those values have to be somewhere? what are they?
I'm surprised I can't find it on this community, but the search tool in the site is meh, and google isn't pulling it up.
If not how do I get lightburn to use the limit switches to figure out the actual working area?
How do I fix the hit home twice issue?
Update 3: Via brute force I figured out that my actual working area is 431x907, those numbers seem unround, but that's 1mm before I hit the limit switches.
When I hit home in lightburn, it's still going to x=0, y = about half way, instead of home, then I have to hit home again to get to the actual home.
If I goto 431,907 after the first home, its hitting limit switches so it thinks my working area is smaller than it actually is in the settings somewhere.
I suspect I need a new xTool-D1ProV3.lbdev for the 40w laser and the extension kit?
If not how do I fix the home issue?
Update 4: I opened up xTool-D1ProV3.lbdev in Notepad++ and manually changed the height from 400 to 907, removed the device from Lightburn and re-imported per the instructions in link above, but no joy, I still get the double home problem.
Thanks,
