Overview

  • This guide is specifically tailored for xTool Creative Space (XCS) beta version, including 2.0.117, 2.0.55, and 2.0.79; addresses file-sending failures that arise after updating the plugin to version 1.2.2.

 

Issue description

  • After updating xTool Creative Space (XCS) plugin to version 1.2.2 while using your F1 laser device, you may encounter a file-sending failure.
  • Specifically, an error message appears: "Sending file failed. Please try again later." (Refer to the image below), after clicking on the "Framing" or "Go to process" button to initiate a new processing task.

Troubleshooting

#1 Update XCS

  1. Check Software Version: Verify your XCS software is beta version, including 2.0.117, 2.0.55, and 2.0.79, before proceeding with the following.
  2. Upgrade to the Latest Version: Update to the latest version of XCS to resolve the issue.
    • Path: Settings >> About XCS >> Software update >> Check for updates
  1. Reboot: After the software update, restart XCS and F1 before attempting your operation again.
  2. If you wish to continue with XCS beta version, move to the next step.

 

#2 Delete XCS "exts" folder

For users who wish to continue with XCS beta version, please delete the "exts" folder of XCS to restore F1 normal operation. 

  • Expunge the "exts" folder either through the software settings in XCS, as shown in the on-screen recording GIF, or by accessing the “exts” directory directly.

  1. Navigate to Exts Directory:

In the File Explorer's address bar, copy-paste the following path and replace "XX" with your Windows User ID before hitting the "Enter" key on the keyboard.

C:\Users\XX\AppData\Roaming\xcs

📌 NOTE

"XX" refers to your PC's user account name, e.g., Win User ID: mk12823.

If you forget your User ID, check under "Settings" => "Accounts".

 

  1. Locate "Exts" Folder:

Identify the "exts" folder as shown below.

  1. Delete "Exts" Folder:
  • Right-click on the exts folder and delete the entire folder.
  • Restart XCS and F1 to check if the issue is resolved.
