Issue description
After clicking the Aimed Measure or Quick Measure button, xTool Creative Space (XCS) may display three error messages, indicating “Auto-measure failed”, “Thinner than the minimum mesurable thickness” or “Exceeded the maximum measurable thickness”.

#1 Check the material
- Engraving on transparent or dark materials, including glasses, may result in measurement errors, causing values to exceed the distance limit and, thus, measurement failures.
- Put a piece of paper on the material before the measurement or measure the distance manually by referring to the article below.

#2 Check the environmental light condition
- Bright light passing through the lid can interfere with automatic measurements and result in failure.
- Avoid direct exposure of the lid to bright light.
#3 Check measurement range
- The range of auto-measures varies under different processing modes. The auto-measure can only be conducted within the range.
- Based on the surface of the slats, the spatial range for automatic measurements is as follows:
- Slats flat: 0~25mm, parameter range from 0~25mm
- Laser cylindrical: 0~25mm, parameter range from 0~25mm
- Open plane: -50~25mm, parameter range from 0~75mm
- Conveyor feeder: -50~25mm, parameter range from 0~75mm
- Please ensure that the processing material is positioned within the automatic measurement range.
- You may also focus manually by referring to the following guidance: https://support.xtool.com/article/840
#4 Check the red laser module
- The camera needs to capture the displacement of the red spot for measurement.
- If the red laser module fails to project a red spot on the material surface, the measurement will fail and the module needs to be replaced.

#5 Check the camera
If the camera is faulty, it won't capture the red spot's displacement during automatic measurement.
In such cases, replace the close-view or distant-view camera module as necessary.
#6 Check the compatibility of software and firmware
Please download the up-to-date version of XCS to solve the compatibility issue: https://www.xtool.com/pages/software
If none of the above works
