Routine Care for xTool MetalFab CNC Cutter

After every 4 hours of processing
Cutting nozzle
  1. Turn off the machine and unplug the power cable.
  2. Take out the nozzle and clean it with an alcohol-dipped lint-free cloth.
  3. Replace the ceramic ring if it is contaminated with too much metal dust.
Baseplate
 
  1. Turn off the machine and unplug the power cable.
  2. Clear the baseplate and dispose of the metal debris.
  3. Ensure that the baseplate is clean.
After every 20 hours of processing
Lenses of the distant-view and 
close-view cameras
 
  1. Turn off the machine and unplug the power cable.
  2. Clean with an alcohol-dipped lint-free cloth.
Strip lights

Dustproof plate
Baseplate slides
Slats
 
 
  1. Turn off the machine and unplug the power cable.
  2. Take out the soiled and heavily worn slats.
  3. Clean the slats.
  4. Use an angle grinder to sand the heavily worn slats.
  5. Use an alcohol-dipped lint-free cloth to clean both sides of the soiled slat.
Smoke exhaust fan
  1. Turn off the machine and unplug the power cable.
  2. Remove the fan and unplug the connector.
  3. Disassemble the fan.
  4. Gently wipe the fan with an alcohol-dipped lint-free cloth.

⚠️ Important note

Before you start the routine care, please ensure:

  1. Machine powered off: Turn off the machine and unplug the power cable every time before you perform the routine care to avoid an electric shock or misuse.
  2. Protective equipment worn: Wear protective gloves and glasses when using tools such as alcohol and angle grinders.
  3. Burns avoided: Wait until the hot parts (such as the cutting nozzle) cool down to room temperature.
  4. No strong corrosive liquids: Do NOT use industrial-level acid and alkali cleaners as they may damage the lens and surface coating.
  5. Gentle wipe: Wipe the camera lenses gently to avoid scratching.
  6. No water spraying: All cleaning should be done with a dry cloth or a cloth dipped with a small amount of alcohol.

To ensure a smooth cleaning process, please prepare the following tools:

  • Alcohol
  • Lint-free cloth
  • Cotton work gloves
  • Angle grinder
  • Brush
  • 3 mm hex screwdriver
  • 4 mm hex key
  • Slotted screwdriver
