xTool M1 Ultra Hot Foil Pen Kit unboxing and first use
Safety first (important)
Read and get familiar with all safety precautions and procedures before using the product. Strictly follow all safety precautions.
- This product can be used only with xTool M1 Ultra.
- Do not touch the pen point when using the hot foil pen, as it may cause burns.
- After processing, the hot foil pen is still at a high temperature. To store it, cover the hot foil pen tip with the disassembly pen cap, and keep it out of reach of children.

Use xTool M1 Ultra Hot Foil Pen Kit

1. Install the hot foil pen
(1) Install the cable bracket
(a) Pull out the x-axis guide rail
(b) Move the basic carriage and multi-function carriage to the middle
(c) Right-align the parts in the two dashed boxes when installing the cable bracket
(d) Fully tighten the two screws
(2) Place the hot foil pen
(a) Remove the cover
(b) Open the clamp
(c) Insert the hot foil pen into the basic carriage
💡 Note: Ensure that the button on the hot foil pen faces you. |
(d) Close the clamp
(e) Secure the cable of the hot foil pen using the cable bracket
(3) Push the x-axis guide rail of xTool M1 Ultra back in place
(a) Push the x-axis guide rail toward the back of xTool M1 Ultra
(b) Move the basic carriage and multi-function carriage to the leftmost position
(4) Use the cable clamp
(a) Use a tissue to clean the right plate inside xTool M1 Ultra
(b) Place the cable clamp positioning guide card next to the screw, and align it with the bottom edge of the right plate
(c) Remove the backing from the cable clamp
(d) Secure the cable of the hot foil pen using the cable clamp
(e) Insert the connection cable of the hot foil pen into the rotary attachment port of xTool M1 Ultra
💡 Note: Keep the side with the triangular sign facing up. |
To use with the electrostatic mat, operate as follows.
(a) Use a tissue to clean the right plate inside xTool M1 Ultra
(b) Place the cable clamp positioning guide card next to the screw, and align it with the bottom edge of the right plate
(c) Remove the backing from the cable clamp
(d) Secure the cable of the hot foil pen using the cable clamp
(e) Insert the connection cable of the hot foil pen into the extension port of the electrostatic mat
💡 Note: Keep the side with the triangular sign facing up. |
2. Place the material to be processed and foil paper
💡 Note: The heating time may vary according to the environment. Wait one to two minutes before processing. If the ink module is used during processing, do not intertwine its connection cable with that of the hot foil pen. |
3. Change the hot foil pen tip
(1) Open the clamp
💡 Note: After heating, the hot foil pen tip is hot. Do not touch it. |
(2) Remove the hot foil pen
(3) Insert the disassembly pen cap into the hot foil pen tip
(4) Hold the disassembly pen cap and pull out the hot foil pen tip
(5) Put the hot foil pen tip away
(6) Install another hot foil pen tip as needed
💡 Note: During installation, ensure that the protrusion on the tip aligns with the groove in the main unit. |
