Has anyone managed to lower their laser ‘z’ axis during a cut?  I tried to lower the laser by 3mm on the 2nd pass of a 6mm cut; in an attempt to use less power on each pass to keep heat build up down.

Unfortunately the z movement does'nt happen and the focus remains fixed at the original setting, throughout both passes.  What am I not doing?
