Subject: xTool F1 – Laser Not Emitting & Unusual Noise

Dear xTool Support Team,

I recently purchased an xTool F1 and have been using it successfully for a couple of weeks. However, today I encountered a critical issue where the laser is no longer emitting light, and the machine is making an unusual noise from the top section.

Issue Details:

Noise from the Top of the Machine

• After completing a few engraving projects, I noticed a persistent noise coming from the top of the unit.
• Initially, I thought it was the fan (which normally runs for a few seconds after use), but the noise continued even after the fan stopped.
• The fan appears to be running normally.

Shaky Blue Laser & No Laser Emission

• Before the laser stopped working completely, I noticed the blue laser was very shaky and did not stay still like usual.
• After this, neither the IR laser nor the blue laser emits light, even though I can hear the laser motor running.
• I have tried running both lasers separately through xTool Creative Space (XCS), but no light is reaching the engraving surface.

Troubleshooting Attempts:

• Power Cycle: Unplugged the machine for several minutes and restarted.
• Checked Software: Tried engraving with both IR and blue laser separately in XCS, but neither worked.
• Fan Functionality: Fan is running normally, so overheating seems unlikely.
• Lens Inspection: Unable to access the top cover but checked for visible obstructions.
• Factory Reset: Performed a factory reset in XCS, but the issue persists.

Request for Assistance:

• Is there a way to access the top cover safely to inspect for loose components?
• Could this be an issue with the galvo motor or laser power delivery?
• Are there any further troubleshooting steps I should take, or does this require a repair/replacement?
