Hi,

What is the best method for engraving project that are to get stained/sealed?

Should I stain/seal and then mask before engraving?  This method would lose the finish in the engraved area.

Engrave first and then stain/seal?  This method would possibly lower the contrast of the engraved area.

Stain/engrave/seal.  An extra step if using an all-in-one stain/sealer but may be necessary.
