Has anyone used a 40w IR laser machine (I have an F1 Ultra) to remove an engraving from metal? I have a monogrammed pocket knife I'd like to remove the monogram from and then add my own monogram. I imagine I can use the IR laser to clean the surface with a pass or two (as if it had rusted) and then it would be a clean surface to monogram. Has anyone tried this before?
