Hello,

I recently received my S1 40 watt and I got the infrared laser as well. I'm experimenting with a lot of materials. 

I purchased some heavy duty kitchen knives and I'd like to engrave them. I'm not sure what setting or laser to use to go through the dark coating of the knife. 

Any help would be appreciated!  Should I use the diode or the infrared?
