When I first got my F1 Ultra I ran some bulk coin embosses (~5 coins at a time) with the stock fan setup. What I didn't realize at the time was the stock fan isn't powerful enough to properly clear the smoke and dust. Even for one emboss I was seeing dust accumulate on the lens and had to clean it. By the time I finished my bulk job my camera and laser lenses ended up foggy even with cleaning with alcohol as described. I believe that they may have gathered some dust on the opposite side of the lens or are permanently smoke stained. For anyone who is doing a lot of deep embossing you definitely should get one of the higher inline flow fans. I bought the 440ccf one and it fixed this problem for me, but the damage was already done. I can still cut, but I cannot use auto focus or the conveyer belt since the camera's lens can barely see the cutting surface. Does anyone have any idea how to properly clean the lenses?
This is the view from my camera after a cleaning. You can still just barely see the outline of my coin jig which is black on the clean steel surface.
