test and calibration issues with optical path hole

I have had my machine several months but just had a chance to take it out the box.

when i attempted to test and calibrate the 1st, 2nd and 3rd optical holes i ran into problems.

The first optical hole burn was on on the top left (not center) as indicated by the masking tape.

I adjusted the one top left screw and it didn't change anything.  i ended up adjusting the top left and bottom left and i got it centered.

when i moved to the second optical path hole, it was bottom left… to my surprise the directions said to adjust the same screw that i did for the first optical path….  no changes.  i started thinking if i adjust the mirror i just got calibrated isn't this going to throw off my entire calibration ??  i stopped after i could not get the burn hole on the 2nd optical path centered… as i didn't want to add to the problem with my frustration building.

lastly.  when i turn on my machine.. the laser rail attempts to move forward causing the laser aperture housing to hit my left shock/strut that holds the lid when it opens and closes.

Needless to say i am frustrated and am now looking for a little guidance.  i reached out to tech support but didn't receive any responses.

has anyone experienced this issue ?  thanks in advance
