Hey all 

I'm having an issue trying to engrave an image for a project. The SVG image is a black line drawing that I wanted to have engraved on wood. A simple task I thought but for some reason I can't get it to work. 

When ever I select engrave it just fills in the entire space of the image giving me a black blob roughly in the shape of the image. 

The only workaround that I have that gives a somewhat useable result is selecting “Make Compund Vector” option. This gives me line art instead and now I can engrave it but it's not the part of the image that was black lines before but instead the inverted negative space that get's engraved and not the lines. 

Do anybody know a way to just get the black lines of the original image engraved?
