I want to make some cardboard or paper shapes which are to be “punched out” by the end recipient.

I have drawn some shapes but I would like to have them lines dashed instead of contant. Preferably with an option to choose the interval of dashing. 
For example on a 10cm line i would like it to be cut for 2mm and then uncut for 2mm, followed by another 2mm cut and another 2mm uncut etc.
 

I cannot find the option in Xtool Creative Studio. If create a SVG in e.g. Inkscape I can choose a dashed line style, but this does not show up when imported in XCS.
 

Any tips/suggestions on making dashed lines along shape edges or vectors?
