Not a question but a possible solution.
I had a long standing problem with getting work stoppages due to Alarm 1. These errors usually occurred in the middle of a work session when the laser was not near any edge. Changed software settings, checked cabling and limit switches, cleaned laser housing, spent much time watching Youtube videos. Nothing worked.
On my last venture digging into the guts of the machine, I happened to notice the X-drive belt had about 4" with no teeth. Apparently, the drive lost grip and … error.
I shifted the belt position (and ordered a new maintenance kit) and once the belt was adjusted so the blank area no longer passed the motor, the problem disappeared. I've run several projects since with no further problems.
Hope this helps someone.
