Working with an S1 laser only had it a month. We put a riser base on it a couple of days ago as to be able to use the rotary attachment. After putting it all together we went to put the rotary attachment in. We did accidentally unplug the laser head, but we did replug it back in right away. Then plugged the rotary cutter into the correct spot, when we tried to get it to measure distance, the machine wanted to go on the x axis slowly all the way to the right and then once it hits the Y axis it makes a loud thumping noise which is shown in the video below.
We then took off the rotary cutter and removed the riser base as to put it right back the way it was before the issue, that also didnt' help.
Firmware was checked and updated
In the video it does show a 2 W infrared laser that is not what we were using. We use a 40 W diode upon trying to troubleshoot this problem…In order to rule out 40 W laser as being a problem we traded it for the infrared but the problem still occurred
PLEASE HELP!
