I know I'm asking a lot of questions. I apologize. I'm just trying to get use to the machine, and get settings right.

So I was able to figure out the test cuts, and engrave cut array. 

But I noticed that it will only cut (this was birchwood, I had it set to basswood) is if it's 100 power and 3 or 5 speed. Anything higher than that I have to do multiple cuts.

I have read a lot in here about lower power and higher speeds to help keep the laser in good condition for longer.

I know if I try 100 power and 10 speed I need 2 passes.

So should I lower the power and up the speed and just do more passes?

If will it hurt the laser if I keep cutting at 100 power and 5 speed?

It does take a long time I admit that. I would think there has to be something a bit faster.

But if not that's fine too.
