I have a vector line with a given width. I would like to engrave the line.
Due to the curves in the line, XCS shows that it will engrave a much larger area than just the line, i.e. it will not engrave the line as is.
Usually laser engraving software will recognize different line widths to determine whether they would be cut/score or engrave, e.g. 0.2pt=cut, 1pt=engrave. XCS does not recognize the different line widths used in the SVG file.
Am I actually going to have to save the line as a bitmap and import into XCS. This is would be really challenging and time-consuming as the file is primarily made up of line segments to be cut by the laser.
I hope XTool adds this functionality (recognizing line widths) to the XCS software.
