I'm just getting started with a 20W xTool D1 Pro, my first experience operating a laser cutter/engraver.   Everything seems functional except for movement in the y-direction. Whether manually moving, homing, framing, or running, shortly after initiating motion in the y-direction the alarm sounds and motion aborts.

This happens with both xTool XCS and LightBurn software.  Here are the messages I get:

xTool XCS error message:
“! Laser module moving over the position limit !”

LightBurn error message to console:
"err:limitCheck
ALARM:1
Hard limit triggered. Machine position is likely lost due to sudden and immediate halt. Re homing is highly recommended."

The laser module and x-motion gantry are no where near the hardware end-of-position sensors, i.e. motion can be aborted even near the center of the operating field.
