Hi Community. I'm a brand-new F1 owner and after unboxing and setting everything up I'm running into a problem with my very first test project.

I'm trying to engrave a logo onto a slate coaster. I set the image up (I'm using the Mac desktop XCS), used the Stone Coaster preset, framed it correctly, warmed up IR laser, and it sends the project to the F1. I hit Start and for seven successive tries now the laser runs over the slate coaster as if it's working but nothing ever gets carved. 

Totally unsure if I've missed a setup step somewhere along the way but its completely frustrating at the moment. The user manual doesn't help with software and most YouTube videos I've found just already assume you have everything working correctly so I'm not sure what to do now.
