Issue merging SVG shapes from FreeCAD in xTool XCS – strange results when combining

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to combine two vector shapes in xTool’s XCS software using the “combine” (merge) function. When I create both shapes directly in XCS, it works perfectly. But since I need a more complex shape, I designed one in FreeCAD and exported it as an SVG.

Now when I try to merge this FreeCAD-exported SVG shape with a shape created in XCS, I get very weird results – broken paths or strange overlaps instead of a clean union.

I’ve tried grouping, ungrouping, converting to paths, using different layers, importing the SVG in different ways… but no luck so far. It really seems to be an issue with how the SVG from FreeCAD is interpreted by XCS.

Has anyone had a similar issue or knows how I can either:

Fix or clean up the SVG from FreeCAD so that it works in XCS?

Merge the shapes properly inside XCS even when one comes from an external CAD tool?

Thanks in advance – I’d really appreciate any tips!
