Good day. I am so new to the laser community that my first laser, an F1 Ultra, is still in the hands of FedEx. After watching videos, I do have a question: Will the F1 Ultra function normally with the exhaust fan removed?

I saw a few videos on the cleaning required, and I consider the interior fan area a bit of a design flaw.  The interior should be shielded from debris.  I am making an external system to vent outside my house.  I would like to replace the interior fan with some sort of tubing that would direct the debris through the internal system without letting it get into the system.

I would appreciate the thoughts of you, veterans of the laser wars!  If anyone just heard an old song from Blue Oyster Cult in their head, we are kindred spirits.  If you didn't, the song is Veteran of the Psychic Wars.
