(1) Search for "xTool Creative Space" in App Store or Google Play or visit xtool.com/software to download the app and install it on your mobile phone.
(2) Open XCS. On the top-right corner, tap and select the language you use.
(1) On the home screen, tap Connect device > WiFi. Tap Configure Wi-Fi.
(2) Ensure that the device is turned on. Select the device and tap Next. Press and hold the button on the device for a few seconds until the indicator blinks white.
Select the checkbox, and tap OK, next.
(3) Enter the Wi-Fi name and password, and tap OK, next.
Tap Set Wi-Fi, then the page jumps to the Wi-Fi list. Select the Wi-Fi whose name starts with xTool_D1P and go back to XCS.
(4) Put your mobile phone as close as possible to the device. You can see Configuration completed in the screen. Tap Go to connect to the next step.
(5) You can see your device name on the list. Tap it to connect to it.
(1) On the home screen, tap the device name to view or modify the device information.
(2) Tap Working parameters, and set up the device for work.
Notes:
1. The center of the red cross may be 1 mm to 2 mm away from where the laser beam actually falls. When this happens, you can set the offset to calibrate it.
2. The processing length in red cross mode along the x-axis is 10 mm shorter than that in laser spot mode. If you want to have the largest processing area, laser spot mode is recommended.
Place the material to be processed in the working area of your device.
On the bottom of the home screen, tap the icon , and then + New project.
(1) In the bottom-right corner of the project editing page, tap Setting.
(2) Select a processing mode. Here we take Process on flat surface as an example.
(3) Select the name of your material on the xTool or Customized tab, and tap Confirm. If you can't find the name of your material, you can select User-defined material.
💡 Notes:
1. You can tap More in the upper right corner to search among materials. After you select a material on the material list or material library, the software will automatically set parameters for laser processing. The default settings apply to xTool materials. You can adjust the settings based on your needs.
2. If you select User-defined material, you need to set the processing parameters by yourself.
3. The Customized tab displays the materials added by the user. You can tap + Add to add materials. For detailed steps, see How to Add and Test a Material in XCS - xTool Support Center.
Use the tools on the bottom to design processing objects on the material.
💡 Note: You can import images, insert shapes, enter text, draw vector graphics, and so on. For more information on how to use XCS to design objects, see Software Learning Center.
(1) Select objects on the canvas and set parameters for them. Select a processing type.
(2) Tap EasySet panel on the bottom, and you can set more parameters for the objects.
(3) You can edit the objects further by using the other features in the Design panel.
💡 Note: You need to set parameters for every object. A missed object may fail to be processed. The parameters that can be set for bitmap objects and vector objects are different. You can select multiple objects of the same type and set parameters for them at once.
You can preview the processing area on the material by framing. Take the following steps to start framing:
(1) In the top right corner, tap Process. Set the framing parameter first.
(2) Tap Framing in the software and press the button on the device.
(3)After you confirm that the processing area is proper, tap Framing completed.
(1) Tap Process.
(2) On the bottom of the Preview screen, tap Start. Read the safety instructions on the screen and press the button on the device to start processing.
