This article introduces the focus calibration process for xTool X1. Before calibration, ensure that you've connected xTool X1 with xTool software.

Step 1: Open the calibration page

(1) In the upper-right corner, click the device settings icon.

(2) In the Device settings dialog box, click Calibration.

(3) Click Start next to Focus calibration.

Step 2: Prepare for calibration

1. Click Start Calibration.

2. Watch the introduction video.

3. Prepare the metal cards and masking tape that are included in the xTool X1 package. Then, click Done and Next.

Step 3: Calibrate the focus

1. Click Move to move the laser module to the position where you can work with it.

2. Open the lid of xTool X1.
3. Use masking tape to secure a metal card on the baseplate of xTool X1.

4. Click Frame and press the start/stop button on xTool X1 to check whether the processing area is within the metal card.
5. 1. If not, adjust the metal card position until the processing area is within it.
   2. If yes, click Confirmed.

5. Close the lid of xTool X1.
6. Press the start/stop button on xTool X1 to start processing on the metal card.

7. After processing, open the lid and take out the metal card.
8. Check among the "+" engraving results on your metal card, find the finest one, select its corresponding number in the software, then click Submit.

9. Identify the most alike pair of squares on your metal card, select their corresponding numbers in the software, then click Submit.

10. Close the lid of xTool X1.
11. Click Measure.

12. Follow the software instructions to remove the metal card.
