- Dirty ink cartridge
- Empty ink cartridge
- Ink cartridge malfunction

Observation points:
- Check whether the stripes for each color (black, cyan, magenta, and yellow) are complete. A normal test pattern should show complete lines and solid colors.
- Missing lines or gaps indicate clogged nozzles for that color.
Step 3: Clean the ink nozzle
If the nozzle check pattern has missing lines or gaps, clean the ink nozzle.

- Turn off xTool M2, take out the ink nozzle, and then take out the ink cartridge.
- Use a lint-free cloth or cotton swab lightly moistened with nozzle cleaning solution (not included) or distilled water (not included). Do not use alcohol, which will cause nozzle damage.
- Gently wipe the nozzle area in the direction of ink flow as shown in the image below. Do not scratch the nozzle surface.

- For severe clogs, soak the nozzle in cleaning solution or distilled water for 10 seconds, then gently press the nozzle area against a moistened lint-free cloth for 1–2 seconds. For details, visit Cleaning Guide.
- Dry the nozzle area with a clean lint-free cloth.
Step 4: Apply moisturizing liquid
After cleaning, apply moisturizing liquid to help prevent the ink from drying and clogging the nozzles again.
- Add 1 or 2 drops of moisturizing liquid to the sponge of the module bottom cap to make it slightly moist.

- Reinstall the bottom cap and the ink cartridge on the inkjet module.
- Reinstall the inkjet module on xTool M2. Then, turn on the device and connect it to the xTool software.
Step 5: Perform a test print
- Perform a test print and check whether:
- the colors appear normal,
- the missing colors are restored, and
- the print is clear without ink bleeding.
- Continue your processing if the issue is addressed. If the issue persists, contact xTool Support Team.
