• The diode laser can cut through materials up to 8mm thick for Basswood and 6mm thick for black Acrylic.

Q: Can F1 or F1 Lite cut metal?

• No, neither the F1 nor the F1 Lite is designed to cut metal. Even though F1 features an infrared laser, it is intended for engraving on metal surfaces. Its maximum cutting depth for metal with the infrared laser is 0.05mm. This is far less than the thickness of most commonly available metal thicknesses.

• No, neither the F1 nor F1 Lite is compatible with any air-assisting systems.
