Issue Description
After upgrading to XCS V2.2.23 on a computer, the software fails to start and remains stuck on the startup animation screen.
Possible Cause
This issue may arise due to several reasons, such as missing ext.json files in XCS, missing device folders, or missing resource files under certain devices.
Troubleshooting Procedure
Step 1: Try XCS V2.3.24 Official Version
Download link:
XCS V2.3.24. If this version does not resolve the issue, proceed with the following solutions.
Step 2: Force Close XCS Processes
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc simultaneously to open the Task Manager.
Right-click on XCS and select End Task. If multiple XCS processes are visible, end all of them and then reopen XCS.
Step 3: Delete XCS Cache
Access the file directory as follows:
Windows: C:\Users\XX\AppData\Roaming\xTool Creative Space
Mac: /Users/XX/Library/Application Support/xTool Creative Space
Delete the Cache folder:
For example, on Windows, right-click the Cache folder and delete the entire directory.
Restart XCS and check if it works properly.
Step 4: Delete XCS "exts" Folder
Locate the exts folder directory:
Windows: C:\Users\XX\AppData\Roaming\xcs
Mac: /Users/XX/Library/Application Support/xcs
Delete the exts folder:
For example, on Windows, right-click the exts folder and delete the entire folder.
Restart XCS and verify functionality.
Step 5: Provide Debug Logs and System Information
If the issue is resolved and XCS can open, please provide the debug logs and system configuration information for further analysis.
