Updated Nov 14,2024
Updated Nov 14,2024

Overview

This guide provides troubleshooting procedures for addressing double line issues in laser engraving patterns on P2 Series. The solution approach varies depending on whether the double lines appear throughout the entire workpiece or only in parts of the design.

We’ll be using the Optical Path Setup feature in xTool Creative Space to help identify what might be causing the double lines and guide you through steps to resolve it.

Prerequisites

  1. A windows or a Mac computer.
  2. Wooden board for testing.
  3. xTool Creative Space (XCS).

Problem Identification

Determine which procedure to follow based on the issue:
  • For double lines throughout the entire workpiece → Follow the Optical Path Setup procedure
  • For double lines in specific parts of the design → Skip to Other Potential Causes

Preparation

Remove the first mirror

  1. Remove the rear cover:
    • Locate and unscrew the fixing screws.
    • Carefully detach the cover.

  2. Detach the first mirror:
    • Locate the mirror. It is beside the water tank.
    • Apply gentle force to remove it (the mirror is magnetically mounted).

  1. Position a wooden board at the laser tube output port, between the first mirror position and the water tank.
