Troubleshoot Double Lines on Engravings for P2 Series

Overview
This guide provides troubleshooting procedures for addressing double line issues in laser engraving patterns on P2 Series. The solution approach varies depending on whether the double lines appear throughout the entire workpiece or only in parts of the design.
We’ll be using the Optical Path Setup feature in xTool Creative Space to help identify what might be causing the double lines and guide you through steps to resolve it.
Prerequisites
A windows or a Mac computer.
Wooden board for testing.
xTool Creative Space (XCS).
Problem Identification
Determine which procedure to follow based on the issue:
For double lines throughout the entire workpiece → Follow the Optical Path Setup procedure
For double lines in specific parts of the design → Skip to Other Potential Causes
Preparation
Remove the first mirror
Remove the rear cover:
Locate and unscrew the fixing screws.
Carefully detach the cover.
Detach the first mirror:
Locate the mirror. It is beside the water tank.
Apply gentle force to remove it (the mirror is magnetically mounted).
Position a wooden board at the laser tube output port, between the first mirror position and the water tank.
Troubleshooting procedures
Optical path setup test
Access Optical path setup
Open Device settings by clicking the gear icon in the upper-right corner after connecting the computer to the machine.
Locate Optical path setup and select Test.
Execute test sequence.
Click Start (no need to read the detailed information here as it is irrelevant to our troubleshooting procedure).
Select Ready Next to proceed (you don't need those items in this troubleshooting procedure).
Click Click to move the laser moduleand wait for the laser module to stop moving, then clickNext.
Press the Pulse button to observe the laser mark on the wooden board.
