I purchased my S1 two months ago and have been having nothing but fun since. However I am wondering how a CO2 laser would engrave versus what I have.

I understand that a CO2 will be able to cut thicker material, process faster, and can work with clear acrylic without any hacks/work arounds. But will the quality of engraving actually be better than an S1?

Also wondering how I can connect with other laser users in the Chicagoland area as I live in Skokie/Lincolnwood area on Northern edge of Chicago. Would be great to meetup and compare notes and etc.
