Hi , I am very new to laser use and want to know the best format and settings for putting a photo onto some slate coasters.

Not sure which format to use… jpeg,png etc. I have tried some but got very unsightly results… 

Keeping the image to the same size (82mm x74mm) some took 10 minutes while some took 1hr 30mins ?

Any help would be great.
