It is extremely frustrating using my Xtool F1 when operating the IR laser. Sometimes it works perfectly and I get consistent results. Then other times when I begin a project and proceed to engrave the same project with the same settings that used to work it turns out like crap. When I run my test grid the boxes are very rough and not consistent even the individual square within the test grid is very splotchy. I can not seem to find a solution. I've heard that it is Xtools Creative Space software that is the problem so I upgraded to Lightburn. But unfortunately I can not get lightburn to show a continuous frame outline needed to align my material so it is worthless for the xtool F1 as well. Does anyone have any solutions or is the Xtool just not a good laser system to go with for a consistent quality engravings when using IR laser? I've had my xtool F1 for 8 months now and when it works it's amazing but it is so unpredictable and the customer tech support is not impressive either unless you enjoy running in circles with a bot.
