I have text in a project, originally drawn in V-Carve, saved as .dxf, solid filled using DraftSight, that comes out as just the outline (not filled) in the X-Tool software. How can I make it fill the text?
I'm trying to do this on black anodized aluminum, I'm up to 100% power (I selected cut) with the speed set to 3, and either it still isn't cutting all the way through the anodizing or the aluminum just isn't natural aluminum color underneath the anodizing. How is the 20 watt at doing this on black anodizing? Is it simply not enough?
I don't understand the homing of this machine. With my CNC, I hit home and the machine moves to the back right corner where it finds the home switches. With this, it seems like you just put it anywhere and press the button. If this defines a new home every time, I really don't see how that can ever work. It needs to have a well defined home position that can be consistently repeated.
Thanks for any suggestions, today is the first day I powered this thing up so I have a lot to learn!
