xTool F1 Series
F1 DOA, any suggestions?

I am the owner of the D1 Pro with both the 20W laser and the IR laser module. I decided to upgrade and go with the F1. It arrived and I carefully unboxed it and set it up. Sadly it did not power up. 
I have checked the following multiple times:

Reset the e-stop,

Removed the lens cap,

Confirmed that the power supply is plugged in and on (with green light on),

Confirmed that the USB C cable is plugged into the correct port of the F1 and plugged into my laptop,

The xTool key is in place,

The power switch is in the “ON” position, and

I have the current version of xTool Creative Space loaded on my laptop.

Despite all of this nothing powers up on the F1 unit itself. No lights, no sounds, no fan movement, no indication that anything works. So unsurprisingly, when I try to find the unit in xTools Creative Space, I get the message “Can’t find device through USB”. 

I have reached out to customer support and tried to provide both pictures and videos but have not gotten any responses other than the generic, automated, trouble-shooting reply. I’m hoping I don’t have a defective/damaged unit. 


If any of you have experienced this or have any ideas on how to resolve it would be appreciated since I’m not getting much help from xTool. Thanks in advance!
