Hi,

I know this is probably a stupid question but just wondering if anyone can help.

I'm trying to engrave some letters onto wood - B, A, e etc. But when I select the letter it darkens the hole image, but not the centre - ideally the centre of the letter would be just the wood - with the engrave around it. 

I've outlined the text in illustrator and then exported as a DXF file and imported into XTool. I know it'll be something to do with the paths, but can't quite work out how. Would anyone be able to help? Do I ignore the middle section in output?
