Hi everyone, I noticed that when I engrave with IR on 304 steel, a layer of brown rust forms. Is this normal?

I engraved with IR power parameters between 40% and 50% and a maximum speed of 35, 300 lines per cm, and I used a black marker to cover the mirror surface. How do you proceed?
