Out of alignment/slipping issues part way through an engraving.

Hi I had my P2 now for a few weeks and very impressed with the results I've been getting.  In the last two days however I am getting an alignmnet issue which starts part way through an engraving.  The job is on a 300mm x 300mm (3mm) black acrilc plate.  The job starts ok and properly starts engraving the plate in the right area and is properly aligned. (see photo) after about the first 5cm the engraving starts to “slip” to the left produing a distorted and missaligned image (see section higlighhted in red on photo. The engraving then seems to stabilise but seems to believe that the acrylic plate is about 15cm to the left of where it actually is (NB the plate in reality is still where it was at the start).  The laser then attempts to engrave over thin air to the left but does start producing an accurate engraving where it passes over the plate (see area marked in blue on the photo).  It therefore only starts engraving half of the image.

I initially thought this may be down to debris or alignmnet of tracking rods but I have cleaned these thoroughly an reapplied the correct lubricant.  The unit moves freely in all directions when I have the power off as it should do. Ive pushed the unit back to the back left corner when finished and the tracking is properly aligned.

Any suggestions why this has started to happen
