I've had a couple threads here so far and thank you so much to the community for the Responses!
We're making 1:12 scale miniatures with this machine. I'm particularly interested in the relief ability of the process. I've done some cursory research and learned about using grayscale images to create ‘depth maps’, but I'm still pretty fuzzy on it. Basically, the first thing I want to create are some picture frames(in miniature of course). I'm well aware I can cut these out flat, gluing the miters together, etc… But what I'd really like to do is be able to create depth, multi-levels, and even ornate details - knowing full well that it's not really 3D, but rather 2.5D - and that's fine.
So, my question is, is my request even possible, utilizing both my P2S and the laser process? I've attached some pictures of frames(just from google images) just for reference. If this is possible, just name the process and I'll begin my research. Thanks in advance!
