Hi,

My application is very different from the maker community. I have fixture made where most of my parts stay at One Set Height.

Recently I did an odd job where I needed to go to different heights.

When I went back to the standard part, I forgot to move back to the Standard Height. 

To my surprise, the laser went off with no warning whatsoever and ruined the first part. This part came to the marking stage after having spent countless hours (buffing, cleaning, painting, curing). It hurts bad when the part is scrapped at the last stage.

Why doesn't the machine or the software check the height set in the project and the height the machine is actually at. Seems like a no brainer and a missed feature in developers part.

Please, have the machine notify, scream, yell to tell that its not at the height the project is programmed for.
