So here's my issue … I've watched at least 7 videos on glass engraving. I bought my rocks glassses, an acrylic pen, painted it smooth, and gotten everything ready. 

I don't know what settings to use in XCS because all the videos are using the old xtool software so no one has the Dot Duration/Power/DPI settings. I adapted a wide range as best I could on four different glasses and all four came back with the same problem …. that it's detecting a flame (there was none) and it cancels my project. 

Chalk pens are a popular black layer but I've also seen acrylic pens so I have been using that since it was more readily available. Gonna find some chalk pens but I still think the problem is I have no idea what machine settings to use in XCS (because there's also no glass setting in the materials presets).
