Updated May 22,2024
Issue description
After connecting M1 to the xTool Creative Space (XCS), if you see a pop-up error message displaying "X-axis homing failure (error code Qx14 2)" while the button indicator light turns red with a loud sound as the laser module bumps into the left-side cover, this indicates an X-axis reset failure. Please consult this guide for troubleshooting advice.
How to Fix It
#1 Clean the X-axis sensor
Disconnect all cables and flip M1 upside-down.
Clean the sensor with a cotton swab or a small brush, as a dirty sensor can cause malfunction.
Make sure there is no foreign object stuck in the sensor.
For more details on how to clean the sensor, please refer to the video below:
#2 Correct the X-axis sensor probes
Move the laser module to the far-left position.
Remove the laser module protective cover and check if the sensor's probe can pass through half of the X-axis position limit piece.
If not, gently adjust the sensor probe to the left to make sure that it can pass through.
If this is not the case, proceed to the next step.
#3 Correct the X-axis position limit piece
Move the M1 laser module to the far-left position.
Check if the position limit piece can be inserted smoothly into the square hole of the laser module (see the picture below) and into the left side of the X-axis photoelectronic sensor probe.
If not, this indicates a deformation of the position limit piece. Please straighten the position limit piece.
If this is not the case, move to the next step.
#4 Clear the Air Assist tube
When M1 is connecting with an Air Assist Set, check if the tube of the set is obstructing the laser module from moving to the left.
If so, adjust the tube accordingly.
If this is not the case, proceed to the next step.
#5 Replace the laser module fixing piece
Check if the laser module is wobbly.
If so, this suggests a malfunctioning laser module fixing piece. Please contact xTool Customer Service for a replacement.
If the issue persists despite following the above steps, please contact our Customer Service at support@xtool.com. Include a detailed description of the problem and a list of the troubleshooting steps you have undertaken for further assistance.
