XCS Mobile/iPad App WiFi Connection Tutorial & Troubleshooting Guide

Hi xToolers,

 

As some of you may have noticed, our XCS mobile app is now available for F1, D1, and D1 Pro users (Don't worry if you have a different device, it will be accessible in mid-June). So in this article, we are going to guide you through the process of linking their new devices to the XCS mobile app on both smartphone and iPad, and offering helpful tips in case any challenges arise.

 

 

Connecting Process:

The connection requires AP (Access Point) pairing prior to integrating the device with the app.

 

  • Switch on your Xtool F1, ensuring it's within your mobile device's Wi-Fi range.
  • Launch the XCS mobile app on your smartphone or iPad, click "Connect device".
  • Select the corresponding device from the list of available devices, and follow the on-screen instructions to set up AP pairing step by step.

 

The app will guide you through each step in the process:

 

 

 

Once the process is complete, your mobile device will be able to detect the device through the Wi-Fi network.

 

 

 

If you failed to connect, consider these pointers:

 

  • Navigate to the wifi setting interface on your smartphone or iPad, and click "Forget This Network".
  • If you have already connected to multiple networks before, the app may experience difficulties in detecting the correct device. A simple solution to this is to restart both your mobile device and the xtool machine, then try the connecting process again.

 

 

 

Usually, after following the above steps, the pairing should complete successfully. If not, double-check your Wi-Fi connection and ensure both devices are within range. If issues persist after trying these solutions, don't hesitate to leave us a comment.

 

 

Once successfully paired, find your device in the list within the app, double-click to select it, and complete the connection process. Now, you're all set to start making with your phone!
