When this issue occurs, the laser head won't go back to the home position properly.
You may see the X-axis gantry keeps crashing into the structure of the device or simply won't move on the Y-axis.
If the device is connected with xTool Studio in the meantime, you may see a pop-up notification like below.

Check if there are thumb screws and brackets fixing the X-gantry. If any are found, remove them.
(1) If the X-axis gantry is not square, the Y-axis limit switch can't detect the limit piece.
(2) Push the X-axis gantry towards the rear plate until it touches it.
(3) Then Push it hard against the rear plate so that both ends are aligned.
(1) Check for any foreign objects near the Y-axis frames that may hinder the movement of the X-axis gantry, such as waste materials or cables from the fire safety set.
(2) If any are discovered, please remove them.
(1) Unplug and replug the cable to make sure it is fitted properly.
(2) Check the black sensor probes for deformation. If it's deformed, please straighten it.

(1) Turn on the device, and manually move the gantry towards the front plate.
(2) Insert a black material into the gap between the two sensor probes as shown below, and observe whether the indicator of the Y-axis homing signal changes.

(1) Restart P2 and connect it through USB.
(2) Open your browser, input the provided links in the address bar, and press enter. Observe if you can effectively control the movement of the laser head after the browser returns "OK".
(3) If you can not control the laser head as expected, the cable of the motor or the motor itself might be faulty and should be replaced.
If the issue persists, please collect the work log, a picture of the Serial Number sticker on the device and the video about the issue, and contact xTool tech support for further advice at: support@xtool.com
