Hi xToolers, whether you're a professional fabricator or a hobbyist working with different materials and project types, setting and saving custom parameters can save you time and improve the quality of your work. In this article, we will guide you through the process of setting, saving, and managing your custom parameter settings in the XCS software.
This feature enables you to save time by not having to manually adjust parameters for each task, and it ensures that you will have the optimal settings for all your unique material and process requirements.
Note: To access this feature, please download our latest software package at https://www.xtool.com/pages/software
Set parameters for the object, then click 'Save as Custom Setting' to save your settings.
Assign a name to your parameter scheme for future references, such as '3mm basswood-dark'.
Note that parameters are held under each specific process. For instance, if you saved a parameter for 'score', it will only appear in the drop-down menu under 'score', and you will not find it under 'engrave'.
If you want to modify the parameter settings, you can directly change it after selecting that scheme, save it as the new parameter scheme and delete the old one.
You can export custom settings to backup. Furthermore, this feature allows you to import parameters created by others. Keep in mind that a maximum of 30 parameters are currently supported for each processing mode.
In conclusion, learning how to set and save custom parameters in XCS software can greatly improve your efficiency and results in your projects. By following the steps outlined here, you can create, manage, and share custom parameter settings that cater to your specific needs and applications. So go ahead and start trying! And don't forget to share your unique settings with our xtool squad!
