Whether you're a professional maker or a hobbyist working with different materials and project types, setting and saving custom parameters can save you time and improve the quality of your work. In this article, we will guide you through the process of setting your custom parameters in the XCS software.
This feature enables you to save time by not having to manually adjust parameters for each task, and it ensures that you will have the optimal settings for all your unique material and process requirements.
Set parameters for the object, then click 'Save as Custom Setting' to save your settings.
Assign a name to your parameter scheme for future references, such as '3mm basswood-dark'.
Note that parameters are held under each specific process. For instance, if you saved a parameter for 'score', it will only appear in the drop-down menu under 'score', and you will not find it under 'engrave'.
If you want to modify the parameter settings, you can directly change it after selecting that scheme, save it as the new parameter scheme and delete the old one.
Keep in mind that a maximum of 30 parameters are currently supported for each processing mode.
